I chose to major in Primary Childhood Education because I’ve been deeply inspired by the educators in my life—especially my mom and grandma—who worked tirelessly to make a lasting impact on their students. Their example motivated me to pursue a career where I can help shape young minds and make a difference in the lives of children. I will be attending Malone University, drawn by its strong academic and athletic programs, a welcoming campus environment, and a swim team that already feels like family. I’m excited to join the Pioneer swim team, where I’ll have the opportunity to continue growing as an athlete while building lifelong friendships and representing a school that feels like home. Alongside teaching, I plan to coach swimming, a sport that has been a meaningful part of my life, and I hope to share that passion with future generations. In pursuit of a physical therapy career, I have set several goals for myself. First, I want to
obtain a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, which is essential for practicing in this field,
while also completing my Bachelor’s of Exercise Science. During my course of study, I plan to
observe and assist in different clinical settings, such as hospitals and rehabilitation centers, to
broaden my understanding and skills. After I obtain my DPT, I would like to specialize in an area
like sports rehabilitation; where I can make a difference for athletes, like my physical therapist
did for me after breaking my ankle. I have always been passionate about sports and fitness, and I
believe that helping people recover from injuries and enhancing their physical performance will
greatly improve their quality of life. By achieving these goals, I expect to contribute positively to
the health and well-being of my community.
