Criteria:

  • Applicant must have been a member of a Colonel Crawford singing group in each of their four years in high school.
  • Applicant must have maintained a GPA of 2.75(minimum) at graduation.
  • Applicant must be intent on pursuing a post secondary education at a two or four year accredited college or university.
  • Applicant need not be pursuing a post secondary degree in music.
  • Application is to be typed.
  • Applicants will be evaluated on a 50 point scale with 20 points assigned to an essay and 30 points assigned to vocal music activities according to the following:
    2 points for every year in a high school choir class
    2 points for each year in an extra-curricular vocal performing group
    1 point for every year of voice lessons
    1 point for music theory
    1 point for a role in the high school drama
    1 point for any other vocal music activity(Need not be schools related)
  • The 20-point essay is to be one page long, typed on a separate piece of paper, and double-spaced. This essay must not include the applicant's name. The topic of the paper is to be "How do you see the experiences you have had in high school vocal music being of value to you as you move forward with your life after high school?"
