- High school senior who are United States citizens or legal residents
- Must enroll in the semester beginning no later than the fall 2015 in a college, university, or certified trade school in the United States
- Must read the “Fire Sprinkler Essay” about automatic fire sprinklers and take an open-book multiple choice test consisting of 10 questions
- Relatives of AFSA staff or board members may not enter
Deadline:Entries will be accepted from 12:00 p.m. (noon) CDT, September 10, 2014 until 12:00 p.m. (noon), CDT April 1, 2015.

Details:
The ten winners will be notified for appropriate recognition to include award assemblies, graduation ceremonies and newspaper announcements. Winners’ names will be placed on the AFSA web site in May 2015.
